Moral hypocrisy in human endevours seems to have no bounds. However, the worst sort are those who discover the "truth" a posteriori after basking in the glory of, or dishing it out to others.
Then, the shoe on the other foot hurts their sensibilities. At which point, they can't keep themselves from wanting to prevent or legislate activities that they themselves, only too shortly removed in time, engaged in.
